It’s finally here. . .the Sunday we’ve all been waiting for (well, some of us for different reasons than others)! While everyone is huddled around their flatscreens this afternoon, I will head to head with my brother cs6000i. My first project was most of the way done, I just had the hem and button closure to finish up. . .here it is:
Floral Dot Dress
This is my first New Look project, and I have to say I LOVE it!!! It is a simple shift dress with elastic detailing on the sleeves and the back to give it a more fun and fitted look. I paired New Look 6022 view A with this crazy red floral/white polka dot fabric that I found at. . .where else. . .Denver Fabrics!! I absolutely can not say “no” to polka dots. They’re my fav! You can bet I will be making this pattern again in all of the different views, and my very next project will be the adorable satchel also included in the pattern.
I’m entering this dress into the Red Dress Contest on PatternReview.com It’s always fun to participate in these sewing contests.

Not a bad start to the day. . .more to come very soon!!
New Look pattern – $4
Fabric -$6
Floral Dot Dress Total = $10

Oh this is so light and summery and the fabric is adorable. Nicely done!
Thanks for the inspiration, I luv dots too, and florals – you got the best of both, beaut fabric, luv the sleeves too, I must try elastic in sleeves too. I have never plucked up enough courage to tackle the sewing competitions in pattern review, so best of luck, and I luv your entry.. Lesley in Australia
