Mod Flower Dress

Posted by on February 29, 2012

I found this black fabric with white barcode-looking flowers all over it at Denver Fabrics a while back.  It kept catching my eye for weeks as I looked through my stash – I really wanted to use it, but had no idea what to make.  Suddenly, while walking through Cherry Creek Mall, it appeared to me in the window of Juicy Couture!!

My inspiration!!  Next was to find a pattern similar to the Juicy dress.  I thought it would be easy, but for some reason this style of dress is very hard to find in a size 6.  I finally came across Butterick 5415. . .and it happened to be on sale at Hancock’s for $1.50 – yay!!!

This looks fabulous on you! Great job, and what a fun dress to have in your wardrobe. It really matches or exceeds your inspiration dress, in my opinion. Super cute, and fits you very nicely!
